IGotYouBruhh Agent Privacy Policy
Applies to the IGotYouBruhh Agent app for Android (formerly "Print Agent") · Last updated September 29, 2026
The IGotYouBruhh Agent runs on an Android device at a business and prints the tickets and receipts the business's orders produce. It is used by businesses, not by the public. This policy covers only the app; everything else is covered by our platform privacy policy.
Signing in and pairing
A manager of the business signs in once with their IGotYouBruhh email and password and picks the business to pair with. We then create a separate device account for that phone or tablet, and from then on the app uses that device account, not the manager's. The manager's email is saved on the device to show who paired it.
Information about the device
We store, on our servers: a random installation identifier, the device's agent code and name, which business it belongs to, who paired it, its status, and when it was last seen. The app checks in about every 30 seconds so the business can see it is online.
Print jobs
Each ticket or receipt is a print job created by the business's orders. A print job contains the order number and time, the customer name if the business entered one, the items, options and notes, the totals, and the business's name, address and phone. The app receives print jobs over a secure connection, sends them to the printer, and reports whether printing succeeded. Print jobs are kept on our servers for 30 days and then deleted. Automatic deletion is being put in place; until it runs, older print jobs remain stored and we delete them on request.
Printers
The app connects to receipt printers by Bluetooth (classic), USB, or over the local network (an IP address and port you enter). The list of printers and their settings are stored only on the device.
Permissions the app asks for
Each permission is used only for the purpose below:
- Internet and network state: to receive print jobs and check for updates.
- Nearby devices / Bluetooth: to find and connect to Bluetooth printers. On Android 12 and later this permission is declared as not used for location.
- Location (Android 11 and earlier only): Android required it to scan for Bluetooth devices on those versions. The app never reads your location.
- USB: to print to a printer plugged into the device.
- Notifications and foreground service: to show that the agent is running and keep printing while the screen is off.
- Wake lock, start at boot and exact alarms: to keep the agent running and restart it after the device reboots.
What is stored on the device
The app stores its sign-in session, the paired business, the pairing manager's email, and printer settings in the app's private storage. Android's device backup may include this data if backup is turned on for the device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes it.
Crash reports
When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry (United States) with technical details: the error, device model, Android version, app version, and the agent's identifier and business name so we can find the device. Reports are set up not to include personal information by default and are not used for advertising.
Updates
About every 6 hours the app checks our website for a newer version. The app is distributed only from igotyoubruhh.ca; only install it from there.
What the app does not do
The app does not read your location, contacts, photos or files; does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs; does not collect a push-notification token; and does not use Bluetooth Low Energy.
Retention, rights and contact
The device record is kept until the device is unpaired, then deleted within 30 days. Print jobs are kept 30 days (automatic deletion is being set up; until then we delete them on request). Your rights, our storage in the United States, and how to complain are described in the platform privacy policy. Contact our Privacy Officer at customerSupport@igotyoubruhh.ca.
